Josh McCallen is a nationally recognized hospitality developer, resort operator, and private-equity entrepreneur with a 25-year track record of turning distressed properties into legendary destinations. As CEO and co-founder of VIVÂMEE Hospitality and CEO and co-founder of Accountable Equity, McCallen leads a mission to revive the soul of America’s most historically significant resort properties — delivering outsized guest affinity and durable investor outcomes simultaneously.
Today, the VIVÂMEE platform spans 1,000+ acres of unrepeatable natural beauty, 2.5 miles of waterfront, two championship golf courses, two award-winning wineries, beach and boat clubs, and farm-to-table restaurant concepts — hosting 320,000+ guests annually across a portfolio valued at over $125,000,000.
Previously, McCallen served as President & Partner of ICONA Resorts (2012–2018), achieving Inc. 5000 recognition and earning TripAdvisor’s #7 Best Hotel in the U.S. for ICONA Diamond Beach (2017). Later, as co-founder of VIVÂMEE Hospitality and Accountable Equity, he accomplished the rare feat of leading both companies onto the Inc. 5000 in the same year — underscoring a repeatable playbook across operations and capital formation.
